Edward Duane Swenson

Edward D. Swenson, age 68, of Ft. Lupton, lost his 8 year battle with Multiple Myeloma Dec. 26, 2011. He was born in Oronoco, Minnesota on April 7, 1943. He grew up in Pine Island, Mn. as the middle of six children. He moved to Colorado in 1962, where he met his wife Angie and raised their three children. Ed worked at and retired from Coors Brewery. In his retirement, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and birdwatching. He is preceded in death by his wife Angie, and survived by children Duane (Norma) of Arvada, Corina (John) Johnson of Ft. Lupton, and Jason (Wendy) of Littleton. His grandchildren are, Nicole Guzman of Española, NM. , Brittni (Douglas) Vogel of Camp Pendleton, Ca., Darion, Taylor, Travis, Baileigh Johnson, and Wyatt Johnson. His great grandchildren are Elisa and Daniella Guzman. Ed's surviving siblings are, sister Carol Wees, brothers John (Joan) Larry (Marcy), Steve (Deb), and George (Lonna). Visitation will be Monday, January 2, 2012 from 4-6pm at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary. The service will be at 10:30 am Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Fourway Baptist Church 9966 County Road 41, Ft Lupton, Co. 80621. Internment Crown Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
