Elizabeth "Betty" Carson Crespino 87, passed away peacefully in Peoria, Arizona on May 15, 2019. Betty was a Denver, Colorado native and attended and graduated from West Denver High School. She also attended Denver University. She married Joe Crespino on April 29,1950 in Denver, Colorado at St Elizabeth's Church. They moved to Westminster in 1951 and together had three beautiful children, Betty Jo, Joe, and Connie.
Betty was President of many community organizations such as The Westminster Elementary PTA, Harris Park PTA, Adams County PTA, Westminster Safety Council, the Adams County Youth Council, and State President of Association of Travel Agents. She was a board member of several organizations including the Board of Directors of the State PTA, National Board Member of Association of Travel Agents, and a 5 year Library Board Member for the City of Westminster. She was a Girl Scout Leader for 11 years, as well as a member of the Westminster Elks Auxiliary since 1965, and also President (2003-2004). Betty was a member of the Westminster Historical Society and a candidate for the Westminster City Council. She loved to be involved and it really showed.
In her spare time she was also the owner of Gateway Travel in Westminster and Arvada, Davenport Bingo Supplies, and Betty's Bookkeeping Service.
Betty and her husband Joe loved to travel and they had 85 cruises together and saw the world.
She is survived by her three children, Betty Jo Heiserman, Joe Crespino and Connie Crespino, four grandchildren Jason Crespino, Kyle Crespino, Joan Romero, and Melissa Crespino, as well as one great grandchild Anthony Crespino.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband Joe.
There will not be a day that goes by that Betty will not be missed greatly, and though she has passed from this world, she will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
