Ann was a wonderful, loving, and positive matriarch of her big, beautiful family. Her faith was the cornerstone of her long and amazing journey through life, guiding her in all she did and shaping the way she loved others so deeply and unconditionally. She was a founding member of Spirit of Christ Catholic Community, Arvada, CO, where her faith, dedication, and servant’s heart were deeply rooted and lovingly shared.
She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life—playing Pinochle, joyfully going “Up the Hill,” enjoying Bingo, and, most of all, spending time with her family. She loved playing games with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her laughter was contagious, her smile unforgettable, and her gentle stubbornness and warm sense of humor were qualities we all came to cherish and love.
She was also a true sports fanatic who loved football, college basketball, golf and baseball. She was a dedicated sideline grandma—cheering proudly at soccer games, high school football games, gymnastics meets, and traveling dance competitions, to name just a few. She never wanted to miss a moment when it came to her grandchildren and cherished every opportunity to spend time with her family. She was our rock, and we were her world.
She was an amazing cook who welcomed anyone and everyone into her home with open arms and a full heart. Her house was a place of comfort, laughter, and unconditional acceptance. She truly was everyone’s mom—always caring, always present, and always ready to help.
My siblings and I were profoundly blessed to have such a devoted and loving mother, as well as a trusted friend, confidant, and teacher. She was strong, faithful and nurturing. Through her actions, she taught us how to love
She lived by the mottos she shared so freely and faithfully:
“Don’t judge people, love them”
“You don’t have to like them, but you have to love them.”
“Mind over matter.”
“Just pray.”
“If you need me, I am always here.”
“Whatever I can do, I will.”
These words were not merely sayings to Ann—they were the way she lived every day. Her legacy of faith, love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She always expressed she was blessed; WE are the blessed ones.
Ann was preceded in death by her children’s father, Kelley Habegger beloved children, Mark Habegger and Teresa Coalson.
She is survived by her children, Chad Habegger (Jeanenne Habegger) and Jill Jantz (Tory Jantz); her sister, Roberta Dittman; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She will be forever loved, deeply missed, and lovingly remembered.
