Born September 1st 1925. She grew up on a farm in Russell Kansas where she acquired her love for animals. She won recognition for singing with the St. Louis Opera and San Francisco Opera. In 1948 she and her husband Irving Phillips moved to Hawaii for five years where he was assistant manager at KULA radio where she had a half hour show singing opera arias. She loved music, the mountains, hiking and The National Park Service where she spent 26 years as a Visual Information Specialist (Illustrator). She spent many years enjoying hiking in our beautiful Colorado mountains with her second husband Wayne Bryant who was a Park Naturalist with The National Park Service.
She is survived by her daughters Lynn Curtis Phillips and Hayden Phillips.
