Mrs. Elvira Loya-Chavez, born August 27, 1928 in Chihuahua, Mexico and passed away April 7, 2013 in Denver, Colorado. She is survived by her husband of 62 years Melecio Chavez Sr., siblings Lucita Loya-Navarrete and Jose Maria Loya-Ramos, children Guadalupe, Vicente, Melecio, Luz Maria, Celsa, Ruperto, Elvira, Rigoberto and Maria Salome, 27 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic who held close to her faith and her family. She will be lovingly remembered.
Viewing Tuesday, March 12th, 4:00pm - 6:30pm with Rosary to follow at 6:30pm both at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, 7777 W. 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. Funeral Mass Wednesday, March 13th, 11:00am at St. Cajetan Catholic Church, 299 S. Raleigh St., Denver, CO 80219. Interment will follow at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery.
