Esther was born on a farm in Nebraska, February 24, 1924 to Knud and Marie Martens and was the youngest of six children.
Esther married Joe Romero October 28, 1944 in Denver, Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her parents Knud and Marie Martens; brothers Harold, David, Ove Martens; sisters, Harriet Martens, Dorothy Toepfer; and granddaughter Carmen Groves Zerbini.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Abel Romero; three daughters, Pricilla Botkin of Littleton, CO, Harriet Rose of Wheat Ridge, CO, Arlene Groves of Mounds View, MN and son Wayne Romero of Aurora, CO; nine living grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.
A memorial service for Esther will be held Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
