Gene was born on May 31, 1938 in Denver to Thomas and LaVern Daly. He attended North High School, Class of 1956. He went to UNC in Greeley and planned on becoming a teacher, but changed his mind and secured a position with an oil and gas company, eventually becoming an accountant. He worked his way up into management.
He lived his entire life in the Denver Metro area.
During high school, he played the clarinet, accordion, piano, and organ. Sang in an acapella choir, Boys Glee Club, Madrigal & Viking varieties. Member of the Bowling Club, also.
Gene loved to travel, bowl, and go to the theater. Later in life, he really enjoyed dining out with all his friends and family.
He is survived by brother, John Daly and cousins, niece & nephew, and many, many friends. He will be deeply missed.
