Evelyn (Sandy) Sanstead Osborne, born October 17, 1922 in Willard, Colorado, passed away August 28, 2015 in Lakewood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Osborne, and is survived by her sons, Bruce and Doug Osborne, her daughter Hollice Osborne, & grandchildren Alyssa and Jason Osborne. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from DU in 1950. To support the military efforts in World War II, she joined the Coast Guard Women’s Reserve, also known as the SPARS, in 1944 & received her indoctrination & training at the Palm Beach Biltmore Hotel in Florida. She enjoyed her involvements with the Red Hat Ladies & the Colorado Questers while living in Broomfield. Her zest for fashion, sunny personality, & sparkling smile will be missed by her family and friends. Memorial service September 19, 2015, 12:00pm @ Olinger Crown Hill Chapel of Peace, 7777 W. 29th Avenue, in Wheat Ridge, reception to follow.
