Faye was born on September 4th, 1928 in Lockney, Texas to parents, Homer Franklin Herndon and Winnie Ellen Hall-Herndon. Her mother passed away when she was 8 years old. She and her dad moved to Saquache, Colorado in 1933. Homer remarried Ruth Jones in 1938 and they had 4 additional children Kenny, Gerald, Sandy and Ronny. In 1946, the family moved to Denver, Colorado. Faye graduated from North High School in 1948 and went on to attend Barnes Business College. She met George Wise and was married on the stage of the Paramount Theater in 1948. Faye and George had 3 children, Randy, Linda and Megi. Faye was a stay at home mom for 17 years. She then went on to work for the National Ski Patrol, CB's as a timekeeper and moved on to work for Fish and Wildlife.
Faye enjoyed traveling. She and George traveled to Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia, Alaska, Europe and several other U.S states.
Faye and George have 8 grandchildren. Aaron, Angie, Kristen, Christi, Lindsey, Melissa, Stephen and Brian. They have 18 great grandchildren, with one more on the way.
