Frank Lopez was born January 29, 1937 in Denver, Colorado to Domingo "Tom" Lopez and Theresa Lopez. Frank and Betty Lou Cordova married on January 15, 1956 in Raton, New Mexico and happily raised a family in Denver, Colorado, where they lived together until his passing on June 20, 2020 in Denver, Colorado, in the loving company of his family.
A lover of the outdoors, Frank and his family enjoyed many memorable family vacations, the highlights of which were camping and water skiing. Frank was a man of devotion and integrity and served for nearly 30 years with the Denver Police Department, retiring as a Sergeant in 1991.
Frank is preceded in eternal rest by son, Ricardo Lopez; granddaughter, Cameron Shelton; father, Domingo "Tom" Lopez; mother, Theresa Lopez; brother, Augustine Lopez; brother, Manuel Lopez; brother, Danny Lopez; and brother, Fred Lopez. He is survived by wife, Betty Lou Lopez; daughter, Deborah Lopez; daughter, Laura Lynn Lopez; grandson, Aaron Lopez; granddaughter, Amanda Lopez; grandson, Ricky Lopez; grandson, Tyler Shelton; sister, Virginia Gonzales; brother, Thomas Lopez, Jr.; sister, Margaret Silva; sister, Victoria Mitchell; sister, Geraldine Martinez; and sister, Annie Gonzales.
Always complementary and having left a positive mark on all who knew him, Frank will be greatly missed and always loved. His family and anyone lucky enough to call him a friend were made better people by enjoying the privilege of having him in their lives.
