Frank proudly served in the National Guard from 1972 to 1981. He began his career working alongside his father at Delta Drywall before spending many years in the insurance industry. Eventually, Frank fulfilled his entrepreneurial dream by opening his own business, Insurance One Incorporated, from which he later retired.
On November 18, 1972, Frank married Debbie Upchurch, beginning a lifelong adventure with family, tradition, and creating lasting memories. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, chaos, craziness and meaningful traditions that will continue through generations.
Frank is survived by his three children: Nikki Lohse (Jeff), Stephanie Vaughn (Jaymie), and Grant Ranieri. He was a proud grandfather to Kody, Julia, Taylor, Jack, Vincent, and Natalie, and a cherished great-grandfather to Ellie.
Frank was active in his community over the years, including volunteering with the Boy Scouts when his son was young and spending several years involved with the Masons.
More than anything, Frank will be remembered for the traditions he passed down to his family. His children will forever treasure memories of making braciole at Christmas, finding money tucked into ornaments as gifts, gathering around large family dinners, sharing a bottle of wine together, and the special trips to Las Vegas when each child turned 21. Time spent on the golf course with family and friends also became some of life’s most meaningful moments — filled with laughter, stories, and connection.
These moments, simple but deeply meaningful, became the foundation of countless family memories and stories that will continue to be shared for years to come.
A small, stand up, mausoleum side service will be held for Frank at Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheat Ridge on June 10 at 2:00 pm. Frank will be missed.
