

Franklin E. “Frank” Hall was born August 26, 1925, in Redfield, South Dakota to Frank and Adeline Hall. He attended Redfield Public Schools. At the finish of his junior year, he enlisted into the U.S. Navy at the age of 17. He served in the Pacific in World War II aboard an APH and LST918. He was honorably discharged in April of 1946. After discharge he attended Northern State College, Aberdeen, South Dakota.
Frank relocated to Huron, South Dakota where he met Frances Nebola. They were married on July 17, 1949. Their marriage of 67 years was blessed with four children.
After various short-term jobs, Frank went to work for General Foods Corp., in September of 1955. After 30 years and numerous transfers, which moved the family from Madison, SD, Bismarck, ND, Omaha, NE, and finally Denver, Colorado, Frank and Fran decided this was it, no more moves. Frank retired in April of 1986.
Frank was an active member of Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church and the Kiwanis Club of Alameda West. Frank and Fran spent many weekends working with the Lutheran Engaged Encounter and Lutheran Marriage Encounter programs.
Frank was a devoted family man. He often remarked “when a family gets together, it doesn’t get better any better than that!” Frank enjoyed all sports, both as a participant and observer. After retirement, he played senior softball on a traveling team playing throughout the country. They were successful in winning the gold medal in the 1991 National Senior Softball Olympics. Frank retired at age 80 from softball.
Frank was proceeded in death by his parents, two daughters, Colleen and Debi, and his wife, Fran.
He is survived by two sons, Greg Hall of Oklahoma City; Gary Hall of Golden, CO; two grandsons, Greg Hall II of Carthage, NC; Gary Hall of Omaha, NE; one granddaughter, Jarrett Hall of Oklahoma City; four great-grandchildren, Kinsley & Aubrey Hall of Omaha, NE and Amelia & Mavrik Hall of Carthage, NC.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary (7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033). The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church, (920 Kipling St, Lakewood, CO 80215), followed by a reception. Frank will be laid to rest at 1:00 PM at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery following the reception.
