Frederick James Bishop, age 91, of Arvada, Colorado passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Frederick (Fred) J. Bishop was born in Denver, Colorado on May 1, 1931; to Frederick(Fred) F. and Lillian G. Bishop.
He attended Columbian grade school, Skinner Junior High and North High School. He graduated from The University of Colorado Boulder in 1953.
He was in the Army from 1954-1956 and the reserves until 1962.
He married Royse Bonnie Elliott on June 12, 1953.
He taught at Manual High School for 33 years. He was involved with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the Colorado Teachers of Mathematics.
Fred was a member of the Arvada Masonic Lodge #141.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter Carey Lee Bishop.
He is survived by his wife, daughters Cathy Vincent (Wayne) and Carol Bishop Jester. Grand Children Madison Jester, Leslie Vincent, Lana Betti, and Chris Vincent. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
A committal service for Frederick will be held Monday, July 18, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
