Remembering dad 5 years later I still can't believe it what a wild ride these last 5 years have been with out him. I still have this picture of him hanging in my hallway in my home. Lost but never forgotten in our hearts. I did finally get back to one of his favorite hiking spots down by Deckers and did the entire trail by goose creek this past weekend with his backpack he used when we hiked it.

Sue, Polly, Brianne and Tommy: We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Gary.  My Lord it brings tears to my eyes.  I can't thank all of you enough for taking such good care of my Dukie, my senior special needs angel whom I am sure Dukie ran to greet Gary in heaven.
Our deepest condolences to all of you.  Gary is at peace in a physical form however, his spirit shall always remain with all of you.

So sorry to hear of Gary's passing.  
Gary was an excellent friend in Junior High and High School.  He was such a nice guy, and a true voice of reason.  When I (or occasionally others) would suggest something crazy, Gary would always encourage a better path.  My sincere condolences to the Olson family.

Sue, our hearts ache for you and your family.  We loved Gary.  He always made time to talk with us during our long days working the stock show.  And so helpful to us with the stock show booth.  We love you.

Gary was a courteous and sincere friend, a devoted husband and father, and proud grandfather.  The outdoors, animals, and his family were clearly his passion in life.  He will be missed.

Those who  knew my dad  knew he  had a passion for the outdoors and the farm, he especially shared this passion for the outdoors with us kids  as we  grew up more so when we were younger then as  we got older. One of my favorite memories is of us  going up to the Boundary waters in Minnesota and just  sharing  that experience we were with Boyscouts I was in Middle school. We drove with our  group up to Northern Minnesota and  canoed for 5 days across the US  Canada border in these many  lakes. I tried to steer rutter didn't  do  to great of a job so naturally because at the time i was lighter I was in the front and well we cruised along. Dad also  shared his passion to  go backpacking and in fact we were talking this past summer after he got better to get back down to one of his favorite trails Goose  Creek where we  could get in  go back country fishing . These memories and others I will for ever  cheerish.
