George will be dearly missed by his wife of 77 years, Jean; daughter Susan and her husband, Steve; sister, Betty Weinke; and brother-in-law, Clifford A. Hodge.
His family also included his grandchildren, Stephen Turner (wife, Corrine); Matthew Turner (wife Kaci); Kevin Turner (wife, Amy); Bethany VanSlooten (husband, Brent); Andrew Clem (wife, Julie); and great grandchildren, Zachary Turner, Noah Quintela Jacob, Joshua Turner, Adalyne Turner, River Turner, Hattie Jo Turner, Luke VanSlooten, Logan VanSlooten, Grace and Ethan Clem.
George was preceded in death by two of his daughters, Merilynn Knowles Foss and Kathy L. Clem.
George owned and operated Knowles Service Station in Denver, CO for 50 years. He was a member of Park Hill United Methodist Church and active with the Methodist Mens’ group and board. He was also a 32-degree Mason.
George had many friends and enjoyed being in the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
