George Andrew McAtee Jr.

George Andrew "Mac" McAtee, Jr., age 88, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, in Greeley, Colorado. Born on May 11, 1938, in Hanna, Wyoming, he was the cherished son of the late George and Julia McAtee.

George was the beloved husband of the late Patricia McAtee. He is survived by daughters Kathleen McAtee and Kimberly McAtee (Larrietta Marsh), his granddaughters Amber Rodgers and Julia Rodgers (Sunny Rodgers) and his great-grandson David (DC) McAtee. George is also survived by his sisters Donna Anselmo (Steven), Shirley Chinburg (Phil), and Linda Solberg (Bill), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sisters Joan Duncan (Bill) and Georgeann Franks (Mike).

George will be remembered for his strong work ethic, great sense of humor, and love of the outdoors.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cemetery 7777 W 29th Ave., Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033. The schedule includes a 11:00 am internment, followed by a 12:00 pm Celebration of Life, and concludes with a light lunch.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Please add a dedication to your donation. We recommend donating to the "Educate and Inspire" division. George volunteered extensively there, and we believe this is the most meaningful way to honor his memory. Donations can be made online or by check.
