George Kenneth (Ken) Wood passed away peacefully April 18, 2020. Ken was born in Dallas, Texas September 20, 1926. After graduating from High School, Ken served in the Navy during World War II. He then attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas and received his degree in Electrical Engineering. Ken spent his entire professional career in the computer field designing scientific systems on mainframe computers. Highlights of his career included working on the Apollo and Shuttle Programs, the first Viking I Mars landing, and the B58 Hustler. Ken loved football, gardening, traveling, and his family. His guiding presence will be forever missed.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents, George Kable Wood & Minnie Mary (Harbison) Wood, his former wife and mother of his children, Mary Elizabeth (Gray) Wood, and a son, Glen Kenneth Wood. Ken is survived by his spouse, Patricia C Wood; daughters, Mary Kenette Liles and Vickie Linn (Daniel) Hermann; sibling, Merita Lu Hurst; grandchildren, Jeff (Kati) Hermann, Christopher (Bethany) Liles, Jared (Jenny) Hermann, Shawna (Colby) Clevenger, Tiffany (Pete) Fielder, Kevin (Camy) Hermann; great grandchildren, Rachel Liles, Natalie Liles, Tucker Hermann, Ethan Hermann, Wyatt Hermann, Everett Hermann, Kelan Clevenger, McKenna Clevenger, Avery Fielder.

Ken leaves a legacy of love, dedication and perseverance that will live on forever.
