Gerri had a sharp mind and received a degree in 1956 from Marquette University in Mechanical Engineering. Her brother remembers "She was a consistent honor student in high school (Natrona County High School). The grading periods were every 6 weeks and students who had the equivalent of straight As would get a C (for Casper) pin passed out at an all-school assembly. It was made of nickel or some cheap alloy and had to be turned in at the end of the next grading period tho could be re-awarded. At graduation, seniors who had received a boat load of C pins over the 4 years were given a gold one to keep--your mom got a gold one."
Gerri was beloved by her family and friends and will be missed.
