Born in Denver, Colorado, she was the daughter of Glen Bunyard and Marion Cannedy. She attended and graduated from West High School in 1958. She was employed at Marriott City Center in Event Services.
She enjoyed water skiing, snow skiing, hiking, and most importantly, being there for her two grandkids. She will be remembered for her loving manner toward all, her generosity, and her unique ability to befriend everyone she encountered. Her family especially loved her tendency to discuss and debate current world topics.
She is survived by her spouse, Larry R. Smith; child, Derrick J. Delgado (from previous marriage to Roderick R. Delgado); daughter-in-law, Trude A. Delgado; grandson, Alejandro R. Delgado; and granddaughter, Kaylee M. Delgado. She was also survived by her niece, Lisa Sanchez. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sherron M. Richhart, and her niece, Vanda K. Kohlmann.
Due to the dangers of the ongoing pandemic and resulting safety concerns, a private family memorial service will be held the first week of January. Following her wishes, her cremated remains will be scattered at Mt. Lindo Cemetery. Look to the cross on the mountain (to the west) and remember her.
A celebration of life for extended friends and family to be determined at a later date.
