Harold D. Olson, 80, of Broomfield, passed away on Oct. 29, 2011. Born in Ludell (Atwood) Kansas, he moved to Broomfield on 1/1/48. He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1949 then began serving in the Army in the Korean War. He was married to June Olson in 1953, taking a leave of absence from the service to do so. He worked as a Test Technician for Sundstrand Corporation for 37 years where he was lovingly referred to as “Oly”. Known for humorous personality, he also was a member of the Crescent Grange for over 50 years, a member of the Broomfield United Methodist Church, and volunteered for FISH in the past. He is survived by wife, June, of Broomfield; daughters Roxeen (Tony)Kanka of Grand Junction and Janet McMIllin of Broomfield; grandchildren Aubrey (Sam) Lovato of Commerce City and Jason McMillin of Broomfield. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings. Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 3 from 5-7 at Olinger Crown Hill.
