God led him to a significant turning point in Harry's life occurring in 1972 when he moved the family to Colorado. This move marked the beginning of a new chapter filled with opportunities and adventures. Colorado became his home, where he and his family found joy and fulfillment in its scenic beauty and community. His hobbies were golf, listening to baseball games, and buying squares for Broncos games. He also enjoyed working in his yard watering the lawn and planting a garden every year.
Professionally, he was a corrugated plant scheduler and Purchasing agent for Colorado Container. In 1994 they moved to Del Rio, Texas for a new adventure as Harry became a logistics Manager for a seat belt manufacturer in Acuna, Mexico, a border town of Del Rio. Don and Vicki returned to Colorado in 2002 to be around their grandchildren.
Harry taught Jason and Kevin how to golf when they were young visiting Del Rio, TX. He really enjoyed golfing with them as adults. He also may have taught them how to gamble and play Black Jack. Katie was his 50th birthday gift, as she was born just a few days before, on the 25th. They shared a special birthday bond every year. Harry was excited when Eli was born because he was a May birthday baby as well.
Ed and Karie were gracious to have Harry live with them for over a year. He got to know Molly and her children since Molly was the caregiver for him during the day. Harry got to bond with his great-grandchildren, Noah, Charlotte, and Henry during this time together.
He had a good, long, and fulfilling life serving the Lord here on earth. Now he is in Heaven and when he arrived, he heard God say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
