Helen didn't like to be called our "stepmother" but in fact though we were grown up when she married my father, she was a real mother to us. She cared about everyone and nurtured and embraced them with her warmth and great humor. If I didn't call her for a week or two she'd call me to see what was up.  I'll never forget the light she brought into ours and everyone's lives. She was beautiful in every way and I miss her terribly.

I am Jean Tegtman Mitchell's daughter, and was going to send the orders for my Mom's marker and saw Helen's name.  Mother loved Helen so much and I was also happy to see Helen at Mom's birthday parties.  You have my deepest sympathy in the loss of Helen. Love, Carolyn Majure

It's evident from the picture gallery that Helen never lost her loving, nuturing nature.  I only knew her over the last 15+ years, and she always treated all of us in that way.  She was a wonderful wife and companion to my Dad, and will be fondly remembered.  My sincere condolences to sons, Paul and Kenny, and their families.

Aunt Helen will always be a part of my childhood memories; family gatherings in Fort Collins and at the Wild Rose Inn in Estes Park. Grateful she was a part of my life.

I always called Helen Mom. She was always Mom to me. I'm grateful that I knew her that way. Blessings to her family.

Helen, my aunt and my godmother, I remember so many family gatherings at her home or sometimes with everyone coming up to Ft. Collins for a Kerbel picnic at Library Park.  We shared so many gardening and backyard bird stories from my cousin Carol, keeping her alive in our hearts.  I'll miss her warm smile.
