Helen Elaine Weingarten

Helen was born near Campbell, NE to Frank and Emma Bartels. When she was a child her family moved to Denver. She graduated from North High School.

After graduation, she was employed by the phone company. She also worked as a public school secretary, legal secretary and retired as office manager from a computer distribution company. In 1943 she met and married Henry Weingarten, they had two children and were together for over sixty years.

She was preceded in death by her husband Henry (2003), sisters Edna, Martha and Hazel, brothers Orville and Carroll, son-in-law Bob Prangley and grandchild Robyn Prangley.

She is survived by daughter Cheryl Prangley, son Mike Weingarten (Callae), grandchildren Michael Weingarten, Mikala Weingarten, Penny Pavel (Gary), Joe Prangley (Corie), twelve great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and Alvin Kuhn, her great friend and dance partner.

Helen was part of the founding members of Advent Lutheran Church and was active there until very recently. She was also an auxiliary member of the Westminster Elks Lodge 2227.

A memorial service for Helen will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Advent Lutheran Church, 7979 Meade St., Westminster, Colorado.
