Howard Phillip Boehme

Howard Boehme, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on May 2, 1941, in Denver, Colorado, Howard was the beloved son of the late Harold and Wilma Boehme. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty and Ruth.

Howard's life was a testament to love, dedication, and the joy of living. He shared a remarkable 63-year marriage with his devoted wife, Nancy, whom he married on October 28, 1962. Together, they built a family rooted in love and laughter, raising two wonderful daughters, Terri (married to David) and Paula. Howard found immense joy in his role as a grandfather to Eli, Rachel, and Sarah, who were the light of his life.

Howard graduated from Arvada High School in 1959. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy Seabees from 1966 to 1968, with two deployments to Vietnam, embodying the values of honor and service. Howard then went on to earn his Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic certificate in 1980, showcasing his dedication to learning and craftsmanship.

Howard enjoyed a fulfilling career as a mechanic, dedicating 20 years to RTD before retiring in 1999. His passion for mechanics extended to driving semi-trucks both nationally and locally, where he relished the freedom of the open road.

An active member of his church, Howard was a man of faith and community. He found camaraderie and joy in the Starchasers, HitchHicker, and Elks Lodge camping clubs, where he shared his love for the great outdoors. Whether camping, boating, hunting, or fishing, Howard was happiest outside, surrounded by nature and the people he loved.

Known for his quick wit, Howard's warm smile and ready jokes made him a beacon of light to all who knew him. His kindness and generosity were unmatched, touching countless lives and leaving a legacy of love and laughter.

Howard's memory will forever be cherished by his surviving siblings, Andy (married to Cindi) and Mary Ann (married to Tom), along with his extended family and many friends.

In remembering Howard, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering faith in Christ that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A Memorial Service for Howard will be held on November 7th at 2:00pm at Cornerstone Fellowship Church (460 3rd Street,

Bennett, CO 80102). Light refreshments will be served after the service.
