Huberta "Berta" Ramirez De Avila

Huberta "Berta" Ramirez De Avila was born on March 25, 1964 in El Rosario, Durango, Mexico to parents, Felipe Ramirez and Herminia Corral. She passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 61 in Denver, Colorado.

Berta grew up in Ciudad Juarez, Chih., Mexico. She moved to Denver, CO in 1985 and has resided in Denver since.

Berta married Lorenzo "Lencho" Avila on June 24, 1984. Together they raised their children, Lorena and Erik.

Berta had a very big heart. She made friends easily and was very warm-hearted. It was impossible to visit her home without her generously offering you a treat or drink. She loved her grandchildren more than anything in this world, she would do anything and everything for them. Her love knew no bounds. Berta had plenty of friends and was never bored. She loved to go shopping at random sales and always found a good deal. She always looked forward to visiting her sister in Mexico.

Berta is survived by her spouse of 41 years, Lorenzo Avila; her children, Lorena (Raul) Luevano and Erik Avila; grandchildren, Vida Mya Luevano, Alma Mya Luevano, Cristian Luevano, and Aaron Luevano; her parents, Herminia Corral and Felipe Ramirez; and her parents-in-law, whom she viewed as her own parents, Dolores and Cirilo Avila.

A visitation will be held at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, located at 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033, on December 3, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 6:00 pm.

Funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, located at 4200 Federal Blvd, Denver, CO 80211, on December 4, 2025 at 11:00 am.

A reception will follow at Emily's Event Center (7141 Irving St., Denver, CO 80030) from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
