I got to meet Ron and Ila and their sons when I was a kid in a trip with my grandmother D'Arlene. I will never forget how nice they were and how fun and funny Ila was. I remember every minute of that visit and how glad I was to be related. I will never forget Ila.

I want to send my sympathy to Ila Mae's family.  I wish you all the best as you deal with this loss.

A vivacious personality and the best auntie a nephew could ask for. My bowling hero, to boot!

Ila was such a wonderful friend and a mentor to me in my years of associating with her.  Her sense of humor was priceless and it was not very often that you could get ahead of her.  I will miss her so much.  Just yesterday, I thought of something to call her about! My sincere condolences to all of the family.

Aunt Ila Mae saved me from a very bad predicament when I was 13 and I will always be grateful to her for what she did for me. She was so funny and fun to be around and I loved it when she invited our family for dinner.  She clearly adored her boys and they adored her back. Her southern family will miss her very much.

My thoughts are with all the family.  Ila gave a great deal to the bowling community and I was very privileged to serve on the WIBC board with her.  Know she will be missed.

Ila was a wonderful person.  She had a fantastic sense of humor and always great fun to be with.  It was my pleasure and great honor to serve with her on the WIBC Board of Directors.

Mom sure did have a passion for life. As we have been having conversations with people, looking at old photos, thinking about her life story and wonder, how did she have time for me??? So many friends, my God! Past President of CWBA, sitting on the Board of IWBC, bowling since forever, past Worthy Matron and Treasurer of Eastern Star were among her many accomplishments. She traveled to Europe, Hong Kong, Australia, and Alaska and many places in the United States with her bowling buddies. She loved all of her family dearly, and did so many things, including bowling, with her two sisters, Ina and Ruby. We will miss her. She lived well and reated everybody fairly.

As I read the messages on the guest book, I noted so many remember Ila as I do....a very delightful lady with a beautiful sense of humor.  She contributed so much to the bowling world during her many years of service....and made many, many life long friends.  My condolences to the members of the immediate family...and to her many close friends who have had the opportunity to enjoy her.

Ila was a dear friend, who loved life and all the people around her whether it was being the President of CWBA, or 7th Vice President of Women's International Bowling Congress.  The family and her beloved grandchildren meant the world to her, she was so proud of each of them and often shared their exploits and accomplishments.

If there is anything one can remember about Ila, she was jolly and fun loving full of wit and one Hell of a cribbage player.

She will be missed!

The world has lost a really special person. We will always remember her for the joy that she radiated to everyone around her. She will be missed dearly.

Aunt Ornery, as she was known by those of us who loved her spirited nature, will be so missed.  Her loving cantankerous humor always added fun and laughter to anywhere she was.  We love you Aunt Ornery! Our heartfelt prayers go out to Venni, Pat, Jeff and all her family.
