

Ingvar was born December 4, 1978, in Bogotá, Colombia, in a Swedish-Colombian home. A gifted student from early on, he received the Andres Bello Distinction and scholarship for best regional score in the Colombian Standardized ICFES tests after graduating from High School.
He moved on to the Universidad Nacional de Colombia where he graduated in Geology before starting his professional career in OXY Colombia in 2003. He was part of different development and exploration teams, becoming an integral part on several exciting projects, like Cravo Norte and La Cira Infantas in Colombia, Elk Hills in California, and the Permian Basin in Texas.
In 2014 he and his family moved to Denver, Colorado where he took the position of Vice-President of Subsurface for Anschutz Exploration Corporation, focused on the Powder River Basin. With his team, he led the efforts to develop a successful method for prospecting unconventional hydrocarbons, as well as consolidating a diverse portfolio of exploitation projects.
Throughout his career his charisma, brilliant mind, willingness to help and mentor other geologists, and love for this craft made him to be admired and loved by many.
He was a loving father, fun and caring husband and an exceptional friend and human being. An avid road cyclist, he travelled around the world to ride some of the most iconic routes.
He made such a positive impact in the career and lives of many people.
Ingvar will be greatly missed.
