Iris Irene Binder

85, passed away on October 10, 2012 in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Iris was born on April 2, 1927 in Brighton, Colorado to Edward Clyde Wolfe and Reva Merle Wolfe (Sawhill). She attended Denver Public Schools and graduated from Manual High School in 1944. Iris worked at several jobs until her marriage to R.G. "Dick" Binder on June 20, 1948 at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Denver. Iris became a mother and a housewife. She became interested in Southwestern and Mexican art, and it remained her life long passion.

Iris is survived by her husband of 64 years, Richard; sons Richard &(Darlene) Binder, Jr., and Douglas C. Binder, daughters Virginia Binder, and Nancy &(Larry) Dolezal, grandchildren; Ryan Dolezal, Dr. Nick (& Dr. Pratibha) Binder, Shawn Dolezal, Evan Binder, and Genevieve Binder, sister Ruth &(Ron) Hieb. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward & Reva Wolfe, sisters Helen Ochs, Jean Shreffler, and Phyllis Schneider.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012, 11am at Peace Lutheran Church, 5675 Field St., Arvada, 80002.
