Iva Unger, aged 102, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2024 at her daughter’s home in Englewood, Colorado. Born on February 2, 1922, in Aspermont Texas, she lived a life full of love, kindness, and wisdom. Iva was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Iva was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years Art and her two sisters. She is survived by her three loving children: Art Unger (Kay), Arlene Polk (Barney) & Frank Unger (Janis), her four adoring grandchildren: Wes Polk (Chandra) Jamie Belitz (Mike) Kellie Unger and Justin Unger (Hannah), her seven great-grandchildren Casey, Anthony (Hannah), Kirsten, Kylie, Austin, Ethan, and Atigun and one great-great-grandson Everett.
Iva was known for her remarkable strength, gentle spirit, and unwavering dedication to her family. She had a profound impact on the lives of those around her and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Namaste Angels Foundation in her memory.
