J. Roger Romero

J. Roger Romero was born in Del Norte, Colorado on February 28, 1944 to Joe D. and Rose T. Romero who have preceded him in death. Roger passed from this life in his Lakewood home on February 25, 2015, just days before his 71st birthday.

Roger graduated from Del Norte High School, class of 1963, where he was a Del Norte Tiger Basketball All Star. He married and moved to Ogden, UT in 1967, staying a short time before returning to Colorado and raising his family in Denver.

Roger enjoyed fishing, camping, watching old movies, and collecting coins, jewelry, and art. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Roger is survived by his daughter Rachel M. Romero-Martinez (Allison), his sons, Ronald A. (Robyn), Nathan R. (Jamie), and Moses M., eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, his brother Jerry Romero (Sherry) and sister Geraldine I. Romero.

A private wake will be held for the immediate family on Tuesday March 3, 2015.

Rosary, Mass, and Tribute services will be held on March 6, 2015 beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, Cemetery & Main Chapel located at 7777 W. 29th Avenue, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.

The family will host a reception at 3:00 p.m. following service at Brady High School located at 5220 W. Ohio Avenue Lakewood, CO 80226
