Happy birthday in Heaven, Grandpa! I miss you like crazy! I catch myself wanting to call you then I remember I can’t. Today being a special day to my,  because of you, Nick and I finally got married! You helped him and I work on our relationship. I always dreamed that when I got married, you’d be there, I know you’re with me in spirit but to feel your touch and hear your voice again would be amazing. I love you Old Man my 7-11 partner

Dear Befus family,
   I met Jack shortly after he and Diane divorced;  we briefly dated and broke up;  and then remained as friends for almost 40 years.
   Diane was always the love of his life and he truly never got over their divorce; no one else could ever compete with his love for her. 
   He was so proud of his kids and so proud that they had grown up well in spite of his mistakes. 
   I can honestly say that Jack was one of the loves of my life, even if it was for such a brief time. He showed me a world that I had never seen before and I will always treasure the time that I had with him.  He was funny, outrageous, flamboyant, and sometimes the devil in disguise but he was loved by all. 
   I am so sorry for your loss, he will be missed!

Oh Grandpa! I miss you so much already! You were the main man in my life and I cherished you more than you probably knew. I’m trying to smile and remember all our good times together and with my boys but I’m struggling. I wasn’t ready the slightest bit. I’ve been hanging out with your ladies at the apartment and listening to their stories about you makes me smile. I have Ariel and your silly glasses hanging in my living room for safe keeping. I’m so glad I got to speak to you the night before! I love you so much!

There are just too many memories to list. 

I just wanted to express my deep sorrow at missing Dad2's funeral. I flew in on Tuesday and promptly got very ill. 

Michelle and Craig, I am so happy that Mom got to be here with you. I am praying for you all and sending ALL my love to you guys. I was able to get out of bed today, and am immediately here to express my condolences and my love to you. 

Michelle I will be in touch. I love you so much, and I know that Dad was so proud of you.

Jack and I were married for nineteen years and had two wonderful children.  Craig Befus, son, Vancouver BC; and daughter, Michelle Befus, Littleton Colorado.  During his working years he was a route salesman for Seven Up and then Frito Lay.  His customers enjoyed his conversations and sense of humor.  He was a doting grandfather to Devanni Befus and great grandfather to Jaxon and Liam.

Your family members and friends will always hold you in their hearts.  We can still hear you laugh and see the twinkle in your eyes.

RIP Mr. Befus ❤️ 🙏 ❤️

Dad, I miss you SO much! I was always a daddy's girl and I know the love you had for me in good times and in bad times. You were a funny guy who liked to make others laugh. I inherited that from you and mom so I must be hilarious. I will miss your hugs, your kisses, your stories, hearing you say you love me. The best thing you ever did was pick the best woman there ever was to be me and my brother's mother. I will miss watching you be the best grandpa and great grandpa there ever was to Devanni, Jaxon, and Liam. love you! I just want my daddy back.

Dad, rest peacefully and joyfully. You are free now.

Today Dad’s soul exists in the spiritual world, no longer in his body. His spirit is here to guide me and my sister going forward. We love you Dad.

Dad, we will meet again one day.


Jack was one of the first that I met when I moved to Colorado.  He was my neighbor.
I’ve got So So many fond memories.  Years ago after driving all night coming from California, I arrived home around midnight.  I had been gone a couple of weeks.  I Unpacked, unwound and prepared to hit the sac.  By now it was 1:30 am give or take.  I go in my room, plop down in my bed, looked up at the ceiling, and it was literally crawling with baby spiders EVERYWHERE.!  Apparently there was an egg sac in the light fixture, and by turning on the light , they scattered. No way could I stay.. I went over to Jack’s. Knocking knocking knocking, he answers the door with the biggest smile on his face, I explained what had happened, and asked if I could sleep on his couch.  He replies, “this is my lucky day”. We both laughed so hard. Stayed up for probably another hour, had a nightcap, swapping stories, and laughing.  I never talked with Jack without laughter being involved. He was a gentle giant in my eyes. Jack  Beefus was truly a friend of mine
