Jack was known for his lack of patience, not holding back his opinion and a knack for telling it like it is. He had the unusual ability to hear a song on the radio and in 10 minutes recreate it on the piano for all to hear and marvel in his brilliance. He loved fishing at the most beautiful backcountry lakes and telling fish stories a mile long - even if they were only a couple of inches. He also spent much of his time and money on the slot machines in Blackhawk. He told us endless stories of his frustration when losing all his money rather than your typical stories of winning it all back and breaking their bank!
He loved to watch the old westerns on his “modern 32” TV. Even if he had seen the same show a hundred times, he never let on he knew who was going to win the gun fight! Some of his fondest memories were 4-Wheeling with his Jeep Club and making sure they took the roads untraveled. The most dangerous routes made for the best stories and they were told throughout his lifetime.
He will be sorely missed and survived by his two daughters, Cheryl Cormany and Valarie DeSalvo, and by his dear friend, Stephanie Peters. We loved him dearly and will never forget his quick wit, tenacity and of course, his questionable dirty jokes!
What he leaves behind is not what is engraved on his headstone or in this obituary, but what is worn into the hearts of each and every one of us who was lucky enough to cross his path.
