

Survivors include his wife, Johanna, his sons Frank (Cassie) and Steve Gonzales. Jimmy was preceded in death by his middle son, Michael, his father Frank, and mother, Susie. His siblings are (Gilbert, Albert (deceased) Theresa, Herbert (deceased), and Patricia (deceased). His grandchildren are (Nicholas, Alexis (Joe Tusa), Madeline, and Caitlin and his great grandson Lorenzo).
Jimmy was born in Roy, New Mexico and moved to Denver, Colorado upon his graduation from Roy High School. He initially worked in the appliance, kitchen, and cabinet distribution industry as a delivery driver and then warehouse manager; he also worked and retired from the trucking industry as a city delivery truck driver- he was very proud to retire as a Teamster.
Jimmy was a great husband and father who did all he could to provide for his family. Anyone who knew Jimmy was impressed with his down-to-earth folksy personality. He was known for his immense knowledge about many, many, things including geography, history, culture, and his family background. His political views were clearly known, and he was always willing to express his opinion. One of his favorite pass times was to watch boxing and bull riding.
