James was born 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from University School and attended Bowling Green where he was captain of the swimming team. He served proudly as a Marine during the Korean War and went on to become a Manufacturing Sales Representative with Joy and Cox, Inc.
He is survived by his wife Sue A. Simonds and children Laura A. Simonds of Breckenridge, CO; William W. Simonds of Franktown, CO; Peggy Massey of Elyria, OH and Diane Simonds-Carrell of Kansas City, MO.
A Graveside Service will be held on February 22, 2:00 PM at Crown Hill Cemetery in Wheatridge, CO. Contributions may be made to ASPCA.
