Phillips, Sr. and Irma Phillips
(Thompson). She passed away
on August 10, 2013 in
Longmont, CO. The Phillips family
moved to Sioux City, IA when Jeanne was 9,
and she graduated from North High School in
Sioux City in 1938. In 1939, the Phillips family
moved to Denver, CO. Jeanne worked for Postal
Telegraph for 3 years, and then for Ralston Purina
from 1942 to 1973, when she retired.
She married the love of her life, Robert "Bob"
Steinbach on February 1, 1942.
She was preceded in death by Bob, and her two
sisters, Pauline Phillips and Doris Davis. She is survived
by her 2 sons, Randell (Kathleen) Steinbach,
Chris (Roxanna) Steinbach, and her daughter, Joni
(Ed) Maycumber; grandchildren Troy (Christa)
Steinbach, Heidi Steinbach, Ian (Kelly)
Maycumber, and Quinn Maycumber; and greatgrandchildren
Logan (Kelsey) Steinbach, Taylor
Steinbach, Ashley Steinbach, Shane Coberly,
Shawn Piantoni, and Finn Maycumber. She is also
survived by brothers Harry Phillips, Jr. and John
Phillips, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jeanne and Bob were members of Lakewood
Country Club for 30 years, and were world travelers,
visiting 14 plus countries. Jeanne was also active
for many years with women's circle groups at
Arvada Presbyterian Church. The quote she
wanted to end with is: "We've had one fabulous
life!" Jeanne was beloved by her family and
friends and will always be remembered for her
beautiful smile. She will be missed!
Services will be Thursday 10:30 AM at Messiah Lutheran
Church, 1335 Francis St., Longmont, CO.
Memorial contributions to Sterling House of Longmont or Halcyon Hospice.
