Jeffery C. Lane

"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeffery C. Lane of Golden, Colorado. Jeff passed away at 67 years old on Sunday, March 12 2023 doing one of the things he loved most - skiing.

He is preceded in death by his wife Carol S. Lane. He is survived by father Jacques Dumoulin, mother Nancy Lane, brother Scott Lane, sister Deb Fleming, partner Carol Burks, children Jon LaFloe (Robin LaFloe), Steven Jovanovich (Cherilyn Jovanovich), Tiffany Preston (Shawn Preston), Robert Lane (Mary Lane), Kelly Jovanovich (Bryan Stupp) and grandchildren Garrett Wiley, Annie LaFloe, Timothy Bennett II, Sarah LaFloe, Kayla Preston, Abby Lane, Aiden Preston and Riley Preston.

Born on July 24th, 1955, in Detroit Michigan, Jeff attended Lawrence Technological University where he graduated with honors in Mechanical Engineering. He then went on to obtain his masters in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University. Jeff built a successful career as a professional consultant, aiding in many businesses all over the world to improve their processes and strategies. He was passionate about his work and was known for his integrity, innovative ideas, professionalism, and attention to detail. He was a valued member of the professional consulting community and his clients always knew they could count on him for honest advice and expert guidance.

Outside of work, Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family and friends in the great outdoors. He developed a deep love and appreciation for the outdoors at an early age. He was an accomplished skier, hiker, backpacker and camper, and spent countless hours exploring the mountains and wilderness areas of Colorado. He also enjoyed summers in Michigan with friends and family on Lake Superior. He was an avid world traveler both for business and for leisure and had many favorite spots all over the world. Of course his favorite spot was always at home hosting BBQs and cookouts with family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 2:00pm at Olinger Crown Hill in the Pavilion of Reflection. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Autism Society of Colorado (https://mtyc.co/4ud63g) in memory of Jeff Lane."
