Jenene Francis Novotny

Jenene Francis Novotny, 60, of Arvada, CO died February 12, 2024 at the Collier Hospice Center in Wheat Ridge, CO from complications due to multiple myeloma. She was the youngest of three children of Lee and Peggy Jo (Wiseman) Francis, who preceded her in death.

Jenene was born in 1963 in Pomona, CA. Two years later, she moved with her mother and siblings to Colorado and they eventually settled in Arvada. Jenene was the baby of the family, but from a young age and throughout her childhood, she took care of the whole family. She graduated from Arvada West High School and earned a business degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder where she met her husband. They married in 1988 and raised two children in Arvada.

Jenene worked for almost 40 years and up until her passing as a buyer/office manager at Systems Engineering, a small electronics manufacturing company. They treated her very well and allowed her flexibility to attend her children's school and sporting events. She thoroughly enjoyed supporting her kids in their various activities. She was also the constant companion of Cozmo and Willow, the family's two dogs.

Jenene was always a selfless and supportive wife, mother, sibling and friend. She remained close with her childhood and family friends but her priority was always her family.

She is survived by her husband J, Arvada, CO; son Ryan Novotny, Arvada, CO; daughter Jalene Novotny, Austin, TX; sister Liana Fischer (Steve), San Tan Valley, AZ; brother Kedric Francis (Elaina), Costa Mesa, CA and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9 at 11am at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary in Wheat Ridge, CO. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jenene's name to Lutheran Medical Center's in-patient Collier Hospice Center.
