Jennie Garcia was born in Valdez, Colorado, on August 10, 1938, to Urbano Montoya and Romanita Santisteven. She was their only child and grew up on a farm. She had countless stories about growing up there, and she loved sharing those memories with her family and friends.
Jennie later moved to Denver with her family, where she built a life filled with family, friendship, and many things she enjoyed. After retiring, she enjoyed watching her favorite soap operas, including Days of Our Lives, watching wrestling, and cheering on KC. She was also an avid butterfly collector.
Most importantly, Jennie was a mother, grandmother, and friend. She was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be truly missed. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched and the stories and memories she left behind.
Jennie is survived by her children:
Sons, Leroy (Kathy) Garcia, John Garcia, and George (Priscilla) Garcia; daughter, Sally Medina.
Grandchildren:
Martha (Anthony) Mora, Mathew Garcia, Anthony (Morgan) Garcia, Melissa Garcia, Jennifer (Bryan) Murray, Isaac Giron, Davika Medina, Brandy Deleon, Brittany Garcia, Jessie (Buddy) Romero, and multiple great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, Urbano and Romanita; her daughters, Elizabeth, Debbie, and Patricia (Pat) Garcia; and her grandson, Phillip (Phil) Rael.
