Jerry and I were about the same age 1st cousins. We grew up together and had a lot of fun on the farm.  when I was 16 Jerry and Dave Brancio taught me how to water ski on the lake on 64th ave.  We always had a lot of fun skiing and trying to fish that little lake.  Jerry I will miss our conversations on the phone.  May you rest in peace, no more pain and suffering.  You will always be remember.  
You were loved and cherished by all that knew you.

Jerry was always kind and caring toward others. I especially recall an incident at a reunion trip to 369 Museum in Peru In. He offered a ride on 049 to someone other than himself, (only those who had crewed on the aircraft were permited to ride) 9 were there that day that qualified. That person declined and encouraged Jerry to take the ride himself and I think he took his last Gun Run that day.
