oan Ruth Rhodes, age 87, of Arvada Colorado passes away peacefully on June 30, 2026. Born Feb 10, 1939. Joan was the youngest of 11 children of late Henry Burenheide and Elizabeth Weimar Burenheide. She worked at Security Life of Denver, where she met her husband, the late, Thomas Rhodes. Sundays during football season she could found watching the Broncos games and during baseball season she loved to watch the Rockies. She was a long resident of Arvada and attended Spirit of Christ Catholic Church. Joan was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Rhodes and 9 of her siblings. She is survived by her step daughter Ginger Rhodes-Ryan (Terry) of North Carolina, step granddaughter Kelsey Jarman (Jeremy) of North Carolina and her sister Elsie Sweet.
A service will be held on July 30th at 10:00 Am. at Olinger Crown Hill 7777 W 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge CO 80033. A reception will held after the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Dementia Society of America or a charity of your choice.
