I remember last Thanksgiving where we watched football games and played with army guys,  it was always super fun to play with Uncle Joe  and I will always remember him.

My uncle Joe was an amazing person. He always had a way to make me and my brother laugh. When my familly was visiting in Denver, uncle Joe would often come to watch football games. Usually Notre Dame or The Broncos :). But when me and Fraser (my brother) were there he would hardly watch.  He always acted like a kid and played with us. He would crack jokes, and tickle us, and throw us over his shoulder. My mom would usually be telling him to settle down instead of us. I will never forget those times with him. One of my other favorite memories with him, was when he took me and my familly to Stuben's ( where he worked at the time). He showed us around and told us what he did during the day at work. He recommended what the best items on the menu  were. He seemed so proud and happy at that moment in time. Like he was excited to show his familly, his life, and his accomplishments. The last thing I will always remember is that whenever he said goodbye to me or wrote me in a card he said "God Bless You". It was always a special part of my relationship with my uncle Joe. I hope now he is in heaven and God is blessing him. 

One of my fondest memories of our childhood was the "band" we created and all of the great times we had together "playing" music.  The best was your drum kit made from coffee cans.  Your love of music started at a young age and your room as a teenager was filled with concert tickets that lined the walls of your bedroom.  Joe's stereo was his most prized possession and he was always happy when enjoying live music at the various venues around Denver--especially Red Rocks!  Joe had a very close relationship with all of his grandparents and maintained a connection with all of them through throughful and loving letters.  We had many great trips to Oak Lawn, IL and Fremont, CA to spend time with family that included  the building of many forts next to the couch, hours of fun in the swimming pool, baseball and football games and many great meals with meaningful conversations.  Joe always remembered family birthdays and anniversaries no matter where he was. You could always count on a phone call or text with his best wishes.  Joe will be missed for his big smile, caring attitude toward others  and deep love of his family. May you rest in peace my brother.  Love you always,  Your sister,  Jenny   

Joe your life was shorter than I wished but I will savor the good times we had together Sports:  cheering on our teams Broncos, Rockies,White Sox ,Bears and of course remembering the Notre Dame -Air Force games we attended cheering on the Fighting Irish. Fun days on the golf course. You were so proud of your Dad being in the foursome when I had a Hole in One. Always bragging about your Dad!  You were always so considerate of birthdays and holidays always sending beautiful and spiritual cards. Your life was difficult in later years but you enjoyed life especially your love of music. I will always remember how you stated it was such a “wonderful and sunny” day today. I miss you, Joe. May God take good care of you while you meet Mom Bonnie and you grandparents in heaven. Joe was my step-son for 13 years.  He was caring, kind, and nice to me always. He was a cook in local restaurants, so I enjoyed him helping me make some new dishes.  I loved Joe and miss him so much.  God bless you Joe. Love Marie

Joe and I met in 1996 cooking for the same restaurant, we discovered we had the same taste in music and enjoyed cooking. We became fast friends, we enjoyed hanging out at the lake, BBQing, swimming, Joe loved tanning.  He and I went to over 200+ rock and roll concerts together.  His favorite band was KISS. Joe would dress up and put the KISS make up on and fans would like to take pictures with him because they thought he was Paul Stanley from KISS. He used to get lots off attention, especially from the ladies and loved it ! Joe was a character!  We had lots of laughs together, I have so many good memories. Thank you for being a really good friend, I will never forget you. I miss you already ...See you again some day. Rest In Peace my brother!
