John Andrew Freestone, 53, passed away peacefully in his home on March 20, 2015. He was born on March 30, 1961 in Silver City, NM. His family moved to Colorado in 1971 and John attended Boettcher School.
He worked on Faylor’s Ranch in western Kansas before returning to Colorado. He worked at Steel’s Grocery Store in Ft. Collins and later worked at Whole Foods in Ft. Collins, retiring in 2014. He currently worked at Foothills-Gateway Sheltered Workshop.
John liked to stay active. He particularly enjoyed bowling and playing baseball. He also thoroughly enjoyed his nieces and nephews.
John is survived by and will be greatly missed by his parents, Orville and Juanita Freestone; brothers, Chuck Freestone and Jim Freestone; niece, Elizabeth Hicks and nephew, Zachary McDaniel; grand-niece and nephew, Lily Hicks and Calvin Hicks; and his friends at Foothills-Gateway.
His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 30, 2015, at Abundant Grace Fellowship Church, 4535 Wadsworth, Wheat Ridge, Colorado with burial to follow at Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery.
