

He moved to Colorado in 1957 where he graduated from Bear Creek High School and the University of Denver. He lived in Colorado for the rest of his life, with the exception of the years that he served in the U.S. Air Force, and was stationed in California and Alaska.
He was married to his wife, Sharon (Hanna), on February 26, 1972. Together they have lived in Golden CO for the last 43 years. He is survived by Sharon and their three daughters: Shawna Meindl (Norm), Jacqueline Lederhos (William), and Laura-Jean Young (Robert), and seven grandsons: Wesley Lederhos (13), Bryant Lederhos (11), Jamison Young (10), Griffin Young (9), Logan Lederhos (8), Keegan Meindl (5), and Lincoln Young (10 months).
Jack worked for over 25 years at Continental Baking Company as a route salesman. He then worked for over 10 years as a bus driver, ending his working life as a School bus driver for Jeffco Public Schools.
Jack was a family man who loved sports and outdoor activity. He enjoyed hiking, skiing, softball, basketball and tennis in his younger years. He loved to watch his sports till the end. He enjoyed the holidays and his yard and gardens. He was known for his awesome decorating abilities and collections.
Jack loved music. He played the trombone from the age of 10 through his 50’s. He played in his high school band, the Air Force band, and the orchestra at his church. He also loved to sing. He sang in the choirs at his churches at different time periods during his life.
Jack will be missed by those who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through his family and friends.
Services will be at 2:00pm on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Olinger Crown Hill, Pavilion of Reflection (W. 29th Ave. and Wadsworth).
