With all of the first cousins from the Miera bloodline, there are 22 of us. Ray, Johnny and Tim have already gone home. That leaves 19 of us.

I’m thankful I had the opportunity to see cousin Johnny before he went to that reunion in heaven.  We sat and visited and sometimes said nothing. Just enjoyed each other’s company. He was at peace and so was I. It was a quick trip this past weekend to gather with all who knew and loved cousin Johnny. Cousin Nancy challenged our generation to step up and get our lives right with God and take better care of our bodies so that our legacy would live longer so that we can raise up the next generation and strengthen the bond between the family.  I encourage the family to make a better effort to see one another and be apart of each other’s live. Tell the younger generation stories and memories of family members that are now celebrating the arrival of cousin Johnny in heaven so that our legacy lives on. Most importantly keep Jesus first in your lives and seek His kingdom so that God can continue to bless this family.

I will never forget all the fun times spent with you Uncle John! You always made me laugh and spoiled me and Mike. You always took all over Denver every time we came up. I will never forget your last words to me. You said, " I love you sweetheart". I will always cherish the time I had with you. I love you and will always miss you


My Tribute to John…
There is a cord that ties us one to another. As I watched you take your last breaths, I pondered where was that cord that bound us. My search began and I realized that to find it I would have to search within me. One thing that I have done was to look at pictures you. I realized that there were many memories of your life that showed who and what made you. Then I recalled a picture that brought back fond memories of you. I began the search to find that one. This morning I found that one picture that stood time still for me. I looked at it and began to cry as I realized I had found that cord. It had been buried deep. What bound us was a relationship established years ago when you showed your love to me and my children. You embraced us and brought joy and love to Jacob and Rachel’s hearts and life. You were there at that time and always. There was no need for us to expound on what bound us because I know you knew. We never parted but took different paths. 
That picture was of a little girl that only knew you as “Coco Man”…chasing her you would tell her that the “Coco Man” was going to get her. She would run screaming and laughing as you put your hands in the air waving them and then grabbing her as you told her that the “Coco Man” had caught her. Laughing and hugging each other, you lifted her above your head and laughed with her. She didn’t fear the “Coco Man”…she loved him and only knew you as the Coco Man. 
That cord…it was not only love but laughter, warmth, and knowing you were always there. See in my heart that cord will always bind us as you have not gone anywhere but are bound deep within my heart.  I shall see you on the other side but for now….. Bye “Coco Man”

I met John when I moved to Fox Street, in Littleton.  I lived in the same 4 plex as his dad.  John was working a few blocks away & I met him one day when he came to have lunch with his dad.  John Jr was a lot like his dad, easy to visit with.  When I met him  I immediately felt like he was my brother.  John loved his family & would do anything for them.  His faith was strong.  We had many discussions about politics & spirituality.  John, thanks for the fun we had at the Avalanche & Rockies games.  I'll miss our visits on the phone,  I love you my friend. 

 I wish I was close with cousin Johnny.  I remember him during some visits and he was always making everyone laugh. My last visit with him was a few weeks ago and I found out that we both Love the movie Princess and the Frog. Family let's make a change I would love to be more closer with you guys. Im gonna miss you cousin Johnny. See you on the other side.

Uncle John is what my sister and i called him. We we're his only niece and nephew so he loved when we got to visit. We could only visit a few times a year but we knew that we were going to have fun when we got to Colorado. Uncle john was always there and always took us to do things. Things like going to Rockies games, Broncos games, Avalanche games,  and going to elitches.  He also had good advice for you if you needed it. I was having a hard time in my life and he told me to stay strong and stay positive. And he told me that family comes first and to love your family because family is always there for you no matter what. I love you Uncle john and i will always miss you. Give grandma ,grandpa, and Uncle tim hugs for us and send them our love. We will see you again someday. 

I have so many memories of my cousin Johnny. I will never forget his sense of humor, his love of sports and just always being ready, willing and able to help out his fellow man. From Trinidad to Aguilar to Denver, I've had the honor of living with him throughout the years and receiving his help firsthand, multiple on occasions. From all the partying, road trips, Graceland in Memphis, and every single Rockies game we attended together... I will cherish the memories until we meet on the other side.

Your funeral was awesome!!! Donna, Candace and everyone gave you an awesome send off cuz! You would have loved it! We all spoke so highly of you, Nancy, Lyle, Gary, me, Walter, Autumn, Mike and Doug! 

And had an awesome family get together in your honor, it was SWEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!

Just like my cousin Sweet Johnny!

John was my basketball coach my freshman year. He was always so positive and full of encouragement. John was a huge part of our Aguilar family. He was always there for anyone who needed him and that included driving on my senior trip to California. My favorite memory is of he , Tim and I working the games and trying to keep that old clock running. Godspeed my friend. My deepest sympathy to Candi and all the family. Heaven will never be dull now. Much love,

So sorry for your loss. Graduated high school together. Great friends. Im in shock. We also were coworkers at the famous truck stop. My love asnd prayers go out to his family.

John was a great friend we had lots of good times in college. Lost touch the last several years my thoughts and prayers to the family. 

Condolences to the Miller family, John was a great guy, and a mentor, he coached us as youngsters in Aguilar! So glad I had a chance  to visit with him last year for a bit in Aguilar!!  Again condolences to the Miller family, he will be missed!!

John was a great man. Happy and fun. He provided me a lot of support during difficult times and brought me and Davy together. 

"Remember the time " from happy gilmore movie.Tim ,Johnny my brother Leroy would go to Mile High Stadium to get Rock Pile tickets. more fun times order pizza and play pool at my mom and dads all night. One day we hit 4 or 5 movie theaters  all over the denver area watching movies hanging out all day. Thanks for the good timea cousin  Johnny 

Thanks for all the laughter always funny you will be missed. Always called me "cousin larry "from either a movie or tv we had some good times .in loving memory COUSIN LARRY

Remembering John....We had some crazy fun times, I remember how protective he was towards Candy. His laughter, his love of sports.                      One of my vivid memories.....Chata wagon....Waking all night....No sleep.....Sunglass day at school.....John to the rescue!! My deepest condolences to his family! You are all in my thoughts and prayers!!
