John Wilbur Wright Jr.

He was a native of Colorado, and had lived in Arvada, CO for 47 years.

John was born to John Wright Sr and Lucille Coloroso-Wright of Denver. He served in the Navy before getting married to his life partner. John was the beloved husband to Myrna Delfosse Wright. They were married for 65 years.

John held many jobs, but spent most of his years driving an 18 wheel truck for Brannan Sand and Gravel. He enjoyed building and showing his hot rods. He was a huge Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies fan. He loved camping, fishing, riding ATV's, watching every western ever made, playing mexican train domino's, and going on vacations.

John was a great story teller. He loved his heritage and wore his Italian horn everyday. He could strike up a conversation with anyone. He spoke proudly when sharing fond memories of driving a truck, or going camping and riding his ATV, or how proud he was of his wife, kids and their spouses, or his grandkids and his great grandkids. He made some great friendships over the years. So many of them having a lasting impact. After retiring, he would enter his Hot Rods in car shows, and even win some awards. It was a special life filled with Love and happiness.

He was a proud son, brother, husband, father, Uncle, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather,. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Lucille Wright, Sister-Carol Peacock Gerace, Brother- Joseph Wright.

He is survived by his wife Myrna Wright. Children - Debbie Beacom (Paul Beacom), Rick Wright (Barbara Wright), Cindy Ferguson (Randy Ferguson). Grandchildren - Nick( Amy Medina), Ashley Ellrich (Kyle Ellrich, Jordan Wright, Eric LeMay, Brittany Medina, Danielle Greening (Augdon Greening), Joseph Ferguson. Great grandchildren - Grant Ellrich, Carson Ellrich, Logan Ellrich, Luke Medina, Collins Medina, Weston Greening, and Stetson Greening. Numerous nieces and nephews cousins.

Visitation will be held at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary & Cem, 7777 West 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO, US, on May 14th, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Funeral Service will take place on May 15th, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a Committal Service at the same location on May 15th, 2026 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
