Joe was such an inspriational and caring man- I owe so much to him and his guidance. He contributed so much to my positive experience at CSU, and career as a Marketing Ed teacher! I will never forget him.

It was always a pleasure to talk to Joe.  He was one of the most kind, caring, giving men I ever met.  He is the epitome of the Greatest Generation.

Joe was the reason I became a Marketing Education teacher. I remember him advising me after taking time to review my credits & classes from my previous degree and saying "you should think about being a Marketing teacher". He was so passionate about helping those getting into teaching. I will forever be grateful for his guidance and direction.

 I am so sorry for your loss. Joe was an amazing person who could always brighten your day or put a smile on your face. He loved to fish. I remember when Joe threw over our fence the largest Brown I've ever seen. Joe yelled out " What time is dinner!"  What a character! He will be deeply missed by so many people.

Joe was a tremendeous man who had a huge influence on my life.  His caring attitude and integrity were evident the first time I met him.  He convinced me that I wanted to be a Marketing Education teacher and a coach, a decision I have never regretted.  His faith was also a big part of his life and I look forward to seeing him in Heaven!

What a blessing to know Joe.  It was a joy to work w Joe in Larimer Co jail.  Joe and my wife Carol both graduated from East High in Wichita. We know where Joe is now. He would share his testimony of committing his life to Christ in a foxhole in France and signing a Gideon Bible which he had.  Our prayers and blessings to Joe's wife and family. We read the lovely online obituary and missed seeing that Joe was in Gideons, where we knew him and did jail ministry with him.
