

He was born in Okarche, Oklahoma on March 23, 1936. His parents were Arthur Michael and Laurel Marie Wiewel.
Survivors include his beloved wife Gwyena Vee, his 2 favorite daughters Tammy Kaiser (David), Brenda Carpenter (David Randolph), 4 grandchildren, Madisen K., James Joseph, Tyler Mitchell, Malachi John,
great grandchildren, Keira, Zane, and Kate. He is also survived by his sister, Maureen Hanna, 4 Godchildren, Mary Garcia, Herb Atchison, Tara Haley and Cohen Haley, many Nieces and Nephews, family members and friends.
He was the oldest of 4 children.
He attended all 12 years at Holy Trinity Catholic School in Okarche, Oklahoma.
He married the love of his life, Gwyena Vee Thornton on May 11, 1957 (64 years together).
His lifelong career was primarily in management in the railroad / trucking industry where he made many lifelong friends.
In retirement he found a second career at the Richman Casino in Black Hawk where he was a dealer and became a Pit Boss. He enjoyed that position immensely.
He served in the National Guard for 12 years.
Dad was a member of the Arvada Elks, where he enjoyed poker games with his friends.
He was a Eucharistic Minister at Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
He was very active with the senior club at the church and many other volunteer activities where help was needed.
He was a Blessed Man. A man after God’s own heart.
Anyone who knew him would remember how contagious his giggle was.
He was a big kid who loved his candy and playing the slots.
We are hoping there are slot machines in heaven for him.
He loved his family, his friends, and his church
We are really going to miss him.
