Hi mom, wanted to let you know that Wade and I have finally made the step and have moved house (well, almost). Next Wednesday will be our last day in the old place and we will be moving into the new digs...yep, up to Evergreen we go! I wish so much that you could be part of this adventure I constantly find myself thinking that I need to share this or that with you and still have to remind myself that you already know and I don't get to surprise you with anything anymore.  I miss you so much and I love you even more. Know that you will be part of this move in our lives and you will always have a spot on the wall with a candle burning.  I love you ~ just wanted to let you know that.

I can't believe that it has been one year since you left us. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you. I miss you so much. Thank you Heidi for posting below. And you are right, I am blue and did miss her call. Mom - I miss you every day...I miss your voice...I miss your humor...I miss sharing you with Heidi...I just miss and feel cheated not to have you in our lives. Mom - it is hard to believe you are gone - so hard. You are so missed. I agree with Keo - I want to pick up the phone and call up but you are not there. Tomorrow is your 55th anniversary with Dad - so - happy anniversary! If you can hear or feel us, please know you are missed, please know we know you are no longer in pain, please know we wish we could go back a couple of years and do it different, please know...please. Life goes on here but pain still remains. I, we, miss you. I want to pick up the phone...

Mom...I miss you so much...struggling a little these past few days, With the beautiful weather, the spring showers, this was always your favorite time of year...I have tried so many times to pick up the phone and call you, to hear your sweet voice and your sweet laugh....love you to the moon and back....

I miss you more and more everyday! I hate that you are gone from us and my heart breaks at the thought of you not sharing this Spring with us.  I love you forever mom!

When we asked Father Steve if we could all get up one by one to talk about mom he said that normally the families would get together and write something up and one person would do the talking. Immediately Tracie, Keo, Quint and dad pointed at and volunteered me. Believe me guys; it is my honor to talk about mom – one of the most beautiful, kind, and loving human beings I ever knew. 
So how does one honor a person's memory? I could stand up here and talk about all of the memories we all have about her for hours- heck, days. But all of our memories are just those – our memories. When we started talking about mom we all almost came up with the same thoughts about her and about how we will cope without her. Her wonderful smile, her laugh, her voice. Picking up the phone to call her only to hear her on the other end saying she was about to call us – to get her advice, to joke with her, to hear her giggle, to talk about her grandkids and great grand kids, to talk about her animals and ours – who she called her “grand cats, and grand dogs”, to say “Go Broncos!” – Even when they were losing, especially when they were losing.
Quint reminded me of how she raised us to be caring and understanding mothers, fathers, husbands and wives. My brother and sisters have been able to pass that on to their children and I have been able to share that and her with my wife Heidi. She had always been there for all of us – daughters, sons, granddaughters, grandsons, and great grandsons. 
As my sister Tracie pointed out, mom was always grateful for the smallest things – like handmade gifts, stuffed animals or even a hug and kiss on the cheek. She was one of a kind.
The last time she was at university hospital, prior to the beginning of the New Year, she told Heidi of a dream she had. She heard Heidi's laugh outside her room door which was really like a patio or deck even though Heidi was not even there – remember this was a dream. Heidi was talking about mom in the past tense, remembering her fondly – that she was an incredible person and that she would miss her forever – that mom was the most unconditional giver of love that she has ever known - almost like mom knew something even then. 
I want to share with you my last strong memory and conversation I had with mom on Monday night last week. She had to be transferred from University to St Joes. Keo and dad asked me to meet mom at St. Joes so they could go home and rest as they had been at University since the early hours of the morning. When mom came to her room and saw me waiting for her – she beamed! She looked at me and said, “Oh Thank God, I am not dreaming – you are here.” I held her hand and she could not stop smiling, she kept looking at me as if I would disappear, making sure she would not fall back to sleep. Then she did something that mom was an artist at – she passed gas. Then she did it again. We laughed and talked some more. Pretty soon we heard a chime come over the intercom –da-da-da, da-da-da, and (go to sleep). I said “Wow. What was that?” and she said “Oh, they do that when a baby is being born.” I never knew that. As often as we had been in THAT hospital I never heard that. Then pretty soon we heard another, and another and we quietly celebrated new life. Then, it dawned on me and on mom at the same time. She said and I was thinking it “Isn't it funny. New life coming into the world while an old life like mine is going out.” Of course I responded with – no, no – you will be fine and will be home shortly. We changed the subject and did not hear any more babies being born. I left her that night, sleeping soundly and kissed her goodbye with a see you tomorrow comment. Now I think back to that conversation about life and death and know that yes, no matter how painful and hurt, and sad – that life does go on and will find a way to go on.
We will miss her every day. How she showed her love to each and every one of us. She is missed but she will be beside us, unseen, unheard but always there. As long as we keep her in our minds, our thought and most importantly our hearts. To the moon and back, until we meet again, forever and a day, you will not be forgotten. We love you mom and watch over dad for us. He still needs you as do we all.

 Judy I could'nt believe just this morning that you had left to be with the Lord.  I met you & Bill as customers at my store, King Soopers. I loved you both immediatly. After I retired I did'nt get to see you guys much.   My prayers & condolences to the Cox family. Bill I'm so sorry. Find comfort in Him. ..With love , your friend  Lou & Chris. Wow, I will really miss you.  You always found a way to make me laugh and smile when you smiled. You are now with God and the other good people like my Mom.  You were my second mom when I needed the motherly advice and guidance. You will always be in my heart and my thoughts. We are so sorry we will not be able to be there to say goodbye to you.  Just want to thank you for the wonderful little talks that we had at family gatherings and for giving my brother Pete the love of his life.  I don't think that there is another person in this world as kind and giving as my friend and sister, Keo.  As far as I can tell, she was just like you!  May you rest now and be in peace until we meet again.

Grandma Judy was one of the nicest, kindest, sweetest and loving people I have ever known...truly.  She was always there to greet me with a smile, a warm hug, and a kiss on the cheek as if I were her own grandchild.  I am so priviliged to have known her, to have been a part of her life and to be a part of this loving family.

Grandma, I love you and I know you will always be watching over us...guiding and helping us.  I am so thankful for every moment I was able to spend with you, for every moment Eric was able to spend with you and for every moment Patrick was able to spend with you.  

Patrick will always know how much you loved him and how proud you were of him, because Eric and I will keep your memories alive and so you will never really be gone.

God speed, rest in peace, and if you see Lorena up there, drop my name...she'll take care of you, too.  :)

Mom, I am missing you so much, I don't think my heart will ever quit breaking..the past two months we have come to be so much closer and your illness took you away.
Missing you isn't about how long it has been since I saw you last, or the amount of time it's been since we last  talked. It is about the very moments when you and I were together and those are the moments I will miss. My wookie, my heart, my angel,my mom...til we meet again....

I reconnected with Judy while planning our 50th class reunion and although she was unable to attend, we quickly became e-mail buddies.  I loved hearing from her telling me about her family and her new great grandchildren.  We both loved animals and enjoyed the many pictures and stories about our pets.  She was a beautiful girl who turned into a beautiful woman and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

You were the most amazing, strong, kind-hearted and genuine person I have ever met. Life will not be the same without your bright smile. I love you so much and I will see you in Heaven one day.

Judy and I have been friends since the beginning of high school.  We stayed at each other's homes.  In my life time I lost track of her until we had a High School Reunion and then I found out her address.  She would always send me funny e-mails and lots of thing with dogs in them.  I tried to see her when I was in Colorado Springs in 1997 but she was going to be out of town.  I really wish I could have.  My sympathy to all of you.  You had a great mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.  I know I will miss her.  Carolyn Prime

Mom that one simple word ~ mom.  Brings to mind laughter, sunshine, watermelon, fireworks, kindness, love, most importantly love.  I love you so very much mom and have since the moment I met you 23 years ago.  You always had a warm smile and a warm heart even if you had cold feet :-).  You brought into this world a son who was so kind (one of mom's attributes) to share you with me and for that I am truly grateful!  I will always be one of yours as we always claimed, as you always claimed and I will be forever grateful and a better person for having you in my life and I promise to use what you taught me along the way to do as you have done.
