Judy Ann Edmondson, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025, in Lakewood, Colorado surrounded by family. A devoted mother, grandmother, businesswoman, and Colorado native. Judy touched lives with her kindness and unwavering dedication to her family.
A pioneer in interior design, Judy spent 40 years as the founder and owner of Cherokee Interiors, creating beautiful interiors. Long before DIY and house flipping became popular, she was transforming homes with skill and passion, bringing comfort and joy to those around her.
She enjoyed the outdoors and found solace in gardening, especially in tending to her treasured cherry trees, which reminded her of her grandmother, Charlotte, and caring for her favorite flowers – peonies and sunflowers.
She was always there to lend a helping hand, raising her two children alone with determination and resilience, and playing an instrumental role in the lives of her grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her daughter Teresa (Richard) Hand, and son Jerry Moberly, and her cherished grandchildren, Liam, Jake, and Ian. She also leaves behind her devoted dog, Henry, who was always by her side.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for June, at Crown Hill Cemetery, where her beloved mother, Elizabeth Wilbanks Ebertz, rests. For more details, please reach out to the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Cancer Society. https://cancer.org/dignitymemorial
