I, too, like the others have many fond memories of Judy.  What a great lady!  I recall her taking many young agents (including me) under her wing to guide us through the intricacies of proper radio etiquette.  Though most of us are long-gone from LDPS/LPD, we can remember Judy and her excellent work in Dispatch for SO many years.  Another in a line of gone-but-not-forgotten Lakewood legacies.

Her laughter always drew you in at the communications center! I worked with Judy from 1975 to 1985 in dispatch. She was a wonderful trainer and even if she was a little disappointed with you (well,  I WAS young then) she just brought you into her "office" and kindly explained how to do it better and keep the police safe.  She is missed and it is so good to hear all the other fellow employees and how happy they were that she was in their life too!  No doubt you are giving God a run for her money!

I met Judy at Lakewood Police Department in 1979 when I began working there. She was simply one of the best and nicest people I’ve ever met. Her humor was infectious and she was a joy to work for. I am sorry for your loss and am sending you all many prayers.

What a sweet force of nature she was!  I worked in dispatch at Lakewood PD with her and she was a joy to be around.  She always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say.

I, along with all others, remember the wonderful humor and, oh yes, the BUN on top of the head. I worked with Judy in the Communications Center from 1971-1976.  A couple years after my Father became an Angel, Mom decided to sell the house. Who do you think bought the house???  Judy!!  That is what I call a Small World!  I will always cherish the time spent with her...although on opposite shifts.  

To her Family...I am CONFIDENT my parents WELCOMED Judy into Heaven with OPEN Arms!!

I just learned with great sadness of this loss.  To Judy's family my most sincere condolences.  Another one of a kind, and one of the friendliest people I've ever  met.  Her passing leaves a big hole that is impossible to fill.  I worked with Judy at LDPS/LPD from 1970-2001.  She inevitably brought a ray of sunshine into any day.  Rest in Peace in Christ's loving arms dear Judy, you will never be forgotten.

Much like Guzzo, I was very young when I met this “force of nature”.   She was part of my youth and marriage.  Her double flip is stellar, as is; remarkably, unbeknownst to most;,  her ride-a-long where Bill  locked the keys in the patrol car.  Ahhh... the good old days.  Judy, you made every day worth coming to work for and will be forever missed.    You taught us all how to live without pretense and we loved you.

I worked with Judy at Lakewood beginning in 1971. She was always a joy to be around. So many good memories. May God bless and keep her always. Many  thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this time. 

As with everyone else I remember Judy as a cheery, talented and hard-working member of LDPS/LPD.  She was a delight to work with and made many contributions to the success of the department.  God speed!  

I worked at the Lakewood Police Department from 1971 until 1983 and have very fond memories of Judy.  Her sense of humor and ability to make people laugh helped make the working environment healthy and productive- to the extent that people sought her out just to talk and joke with her.  Judy's sense of humor and her ability to interact was contagious, and I thank her for making my time with Lakewood so pleasurable and memorable.  Judy will be missed, but  never forgotten.

One of Lakewood’s first hires in Spring, 1970, Judy landed on both feet and never looked back; adjusted quickly to new challenges; always a friendly welcome for new colleagues; dependable, reliable and all the traits we value in our professional and personal associations.  We had many pleasant joint adventures during her work in Lakewood and she made many friends for the department.  We talked during her work on the ‘yearbook’ project in 2008 and her enthusiasm was still at 110%. Bon Voyage, my friend. 

We both worked with Judy for numerous years at Lakewood Police Dept.  I was a dispatcher and Bob a cop.  We remember all the fun times with Judy at various parties and drinks after work. She loved to show us all her doing the "double flip". She will be greatly missed.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

As time passes, may we never forget to visit our memories of those who have touched our lives. A naive 22 year old when I met Judy at the Lakewood Communication Center.  I will always remember the bun on her head, the cherry sour balls she would give me on Valentine's Day, the Santa Operation she founded, delivering to the citizens of Lakewood; the parties and her "famous" double flip.  You touched my life and I will be forever grateful for your love and support throughout my career as a police dispatcher.

I send my sincere condolences to Judy's family. I worked with her for many years at Lakewood Police Department. She was one of the pioneers in the communication center. She was always a pleasure to work with and could be depended on to have a smile.
